CantellTV Presents: Steve Jobs approaches movie rentals

Apple Inc. has unveiled the movie rentals and slim laptop at the conference on Tuesday. The analysts predicted that Steve Jobs, a Chief Executive of Apple Inc., will come with the movie rentals, even though Apple Inc. didn't offer them in the past. Steve Jobs also surprised by contacting all the major film studios as for instance Sony Pictures, or Universal. Universal film studio is the one that stopped offering all the TV shows at Apple's iTunes Store because of the argument on control and prices. Shaw Wu, an American Technology Research analyst said: "Studios have voiced their opinion that they don't want to work with Apple but they're still doing so. That's because there's going to be a paradigm shift in the online movie space, and Apple is in the best position to lead that." More than a million of people are already using iTunes to get their favorite songs or TV shows. The trend will just grow higher according to the Shaw Wu's forecast. Users can watch movies over the broadband Internet connection or they can download the movie and keep it in their computers for 30 days. But once they start watching the movie, they have to finish it in 24 hours period. All the movies will be on iTunes within 30 days after they are released in DVD form. The approximate start for watching movies is by the end of February. Customers can also use high definition versions with a little extra pay of $1.
